Quick Random Update

Scrambled to find a back-up bike for this weekend when my long-awaited bike arrived and turned out to the be the wrong bike. Sigh. Bike found, parts being transferred. Future bike #2 plans still up in the air.

Traveled to Toronto to see The Police reunion tour. Awesome. Spent part of the day in Toronto today; lots of fixie hipsters. Saw some cool bike shops and a neat bicycle co-op.

Becky is doing very well. Her training for the Chicago Triathlon is back on track. Thanks to everybody for asking about her and wishing her well.

Resting up for this weekend. Feeling good, but more importantly, looking good.

where is the picture of the look on your face when you realized it was NOT your custom bike?

getting one sweet custom Q---$$$$
riding strong this season---$$$$$
being able to order another custom bike in the same year---$$$$$

waiting forever to receive bike number two "from paint" and realizing joe got hosed----not priceless!

i am sure you will kick but at nine mile, see you there!

Jason,

I don't bear any ill will toward the builder--he had a bunch of problems that were beyond his control.

Sure, it creates some issues for me, but that is part of the cost of doing business with a small builder sometimes.

He was willing to try something new (team sponsorship); it didn't work out. Now it's time to move on with no hard feelings!

See you in a couple of days,

Joe

Looking good is half the battle. Hope you have a great race at 9 mile. Maybe next year.

Also I am very glad to hear that Becky is fine. What a scare.

Wish I could help with bike "two". If a 17" Jamis Dragon single speeded by force of eno helps it's yours. Fork you say?? pick ridged or sus. The kicker is the frame is RED so, it has to be fast.
